Plan a Visit to the WT Delta Heritage Center

Self-Guided Tour
Self-guided tours are free of charge and can take 30 minutes to 1 hour to complete. The Tina Turner Museum and Sleepy John Estes home are included. Advance reservations are not required.

Guided Tour
Admission: $7.50 adult, $5 youth 7-17, under 6 free.

Want to know more about our exhibits and programs?
Ask for a Guided tour. Plan approximately 1- 1.5 hours.
Reservations are required for large goups.

Museum Hours
Winter Hours: October - March
Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m.

Summer Hours: April - September
Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

We will be closed Easter Sunday and Christmas Day.

We have a large parking area that will accommodate tour buses and campers of all sizes. There is plenty of room to turn around or drive through.

We are a handicap-accessible facility.

Group and School Tours

Our museums are open and available for self-guided tours during regular business hours. After hour tours available upon request.

Group Tours: Guided tours are available at a discounted rate. Reservations can be made by calling us at 731-779-9000. You should allow a minimum of 1 hour for guided tours.

If your group is interested in seeing more of the Brownsville-Haywood County area, additional tours are available upon request (some fees may apply). These tours can include Nutbush, Dunbar Carver Museum, Haywood County Museum and College Hill Center, Historic District, the MindField and more. Please call for details and help when planning your stay in our area.

School Tours: We love to share our museums with children. Please contact us for special school rates. School tours should allow a minimum of 1.5 hours for tours. Tour includes a short talk about the center and group picture on the porch of the Sleepy John Estes home or Flagg Grove School. Children should be told that we do have a gift shop where they can make purchases. Our small snack items seem to be the most popular among children.

Tour Buses

We are a great stop for tour buses. We have plenty of parking space and lots of room to turn around. Buses are welcome to pull right up to the door. Our restrooms are the cleanest on Interstate 40 and our location between Memphis and Nashville make us a great place to stretch and relax before continuing your journey. Our facility makes a great added value for your clients.

We are located on Music Highway between Memphis and Nashville, Tenn., just off of Interstate 40 at Exit 56 (behind McDonald's) in Brownsville, Tennessee.

From Memphis: Travel approx.56 miles East to Exit 56. At top of ramp, turn left onto Hwy. 76, cross over Interstate and turn right just past service station, beside McDonald's. The Center is located directly behind McDonald's across from Comfort Inn.

From Nashville: Travel approx. 150 miles West to Exit 56. At top of Exit ramp turn right and turn immediately right between service station and McDonald's. The Center is located directly behind McDonald's across from Comfort Inn.
