There is no admission charge Museum Hours We will be closed Easter, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Parking The West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center is owned and operated by the City of Brownsvillle. Group and School ToursOur museums are open and available for self-guided tours during regular business hours. Group Tours: Guided tours are available at no additional charge. Reservations can be made by calling us at 731-779-9000. Along with a tour of the museums, your guided tour also includes a 10 minute video and your group picture taken on the porch of the Sleepy John Estes home. You should allow a minimum of 1 hour for guided tours. If your group is interested in seeing more of the Brownsville-Haywood County area, additional tours are available upon request (some fees may apply). Please call for details and help when planning your stay in our area. School Tours: We love to share our museums with children. School tours are available for groups of 30 or less. Larger classes can be accomodated by dividing children into smaller groups and conducting tours simultaneously. School tours should allow a minimum of 1.5 hours for tours. Tour includes a short talk about the center, a video and group picture on the porch of the Sleepy John Estes home. While our museums and tours are free, children should be told that we do have a gift shop where they can make purchases. Our small snack items seem to be the most popular among children. Tour BusesWe are a great stop for tour buses. We have plenty of parking space and lots of room to turn around, if needed. Buses are welcome to pull right up to the door. Our restrooms are the cleanest on Interstate 40 and our location between Memphis and Nashville make us a great place to stretch and relax before continuing your journey. From Memphis: Travel approx.56 miles East to Exit 56. At top of ramp, turn left onto Hwy. 76, cross over Interstate and turn right just past service station, beside McDonald's. The Center is located directly behind McDonald's across from Comfort Inn. From Nashville: Travel approx. 150 miles West to Exit 56. At top of Exit ramp turn right and turn immediately right between service station and McDonald's.
